The NFL and union agreed to set maximum cap of $208.2 million for the 2022 season
Us time on Wednesday, according to ESPN and NFL Network reporters, the NFL and the players’ Union have reached an agreement to set the maximum value of the 2022 season salary cap at $208.2 million.
What needs to be distinguished is that this does not mean that the exact value of cheap jerseys salary cap for next season is $208.2 million, which is just a maximum setting. The forecast profit in 2022 and the profit reduction in 2021 are still likely to make the final value lower. But if the estimated profit exceeds this maximum, the excess will be used to pay for the league’s player losses of about $17 million in 2022.
Compared with 2020 (US $198.2 million), the salary cap of 2021 season (US $182.5 million) is significantly reduced due to the impact of the new championship. The loss of Jersey profit mainly comes from the failure to sell all tickets normally.
The league and the players’ Union signed an amendment to the new championship on July 26 last year, one of which is about paying the players for their losses. Compensation was originally set for 2023, but could be paid as early as 2022.
